Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is also the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champ as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011 along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. She has won several titles including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the title by TKO in the second round and went on to win her 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback with a win against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her fighting skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was given the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at TUF's Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
